Kelly Schulze | Third Grade Teacher

First Year at ACA: 2010

Kelly Schulze grew up in Klein, TX, and attended Trinity Lutheran Church and School. She went on to receive her Bachelors of Science in Leadership Development with a minor in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University. While there, Kelly was elected class president, was nominated for Who’s Who, and received the Buck Weirus Spirit Award for her leadership and impact on students. During her summers, she worked as a counselor at Camp Lone Star where she met her husband, Landon. After graduation, Kelly received her teaching license for EC-8th grade and taught 5th grade at a Christian School outside Houston, TX.

In 2009, they moved to Denver and Kelly pursued a Masters degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary.  She attended a church plant and through that experience became friends with people that shared her love of learning and desire to impact the city with the Gospel.  Bringing together her passions for Christian Classical education, the gospel, service, and children, Kelly and Landon were part of the founding families and she worked as the first Kindergarten teacher at Highlands Classical Academy (now ACA).

Kelly and Landon have been married for eighteen years and are the proud parents of Langston, Mavis, Kaden, Kensington, and Myars.

She enjoys dancing in the kitchen, singing silly songs, playing board games, ACA theater club, watching her kids play baseball, soccer and dance, but most importantly teaching them about the love of Christ.

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:10-11
