Amanda Adams | Homeschool Collaborative Teacher

First Year at ACA: 2024

Amanda Adams passionately strives to foster a love for learning in her classroom by emphasizing personalized instruction, student-centered learning strategies, and making herself a spiritual resource to all students. Amanda studied Philosophy and Christian Studies at Trinity International University and has completed a wide variety of continued education certifications and courses - each of which has sharpened and strengthened her joy and effectiveness as an educator, friend and follower of Christ. Prior to arriving at ACA, Amanda taught at Dripping Springs Christian Academy in Austin, Texas as the Bible and Electives teacher for the entire Upper School (5th-12th).

Prior to teaching full-time, Amanda was a pastor at Willow Creek Community Church and Youth for Christ, as well as a professional student life coach. The throughline of each of these roles was a deep urgency to uncover the God-given purpose in each student's life and help them create and pursue the steps needed to walk in that purpose.

When Amanda is not at school, she is most likely climbing, hiking, snowboarding, watching movies or hanging out with her dog named Fish!
