Sarah Brannon, Ph.D | Lead Science Instructor

First Year at ACA: 2023

Originally from Australia, Dr. Sarah Brannon, Ph.D. received a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) from the University of Newcastle, Australia with an emphasis on clinical neuropsychology and healthy aging. After marrying her American husband, she moved to Colorado and completed her Ph.D. in Health and Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado Denver, as well as a training program for the translation of research to real-world practice. Sarah’s professional interests and work chiefly focus on healthy brain aging and dementia risk reduction. She has taught graduate classes at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus on Public Health and Aging, as well as undergraduate classes in public health at the University of Colorado Denver.

Alongside her ongoing research, education and coaching on healthy brain aging, Sarah is passionate about quality science education and excited to join the faculty of Augustine Classical Academy. The opportunity to explore the wonders of God’s creation and to share this with others is a gift! 

Sarah and her husband, Alan, have two children and are actively involved in their local church. She enjoys hiking, distance running, bird keeping (parrots), exploring, and having a cup of tea with a friend.
