Homeschool Cooperative Program

overview

By partnering with families, Augustine Classical Academy exists to provide an education that is both classical and Christian; to equip students to know, love, and practice what is true, virtuous, and beautiful; and to challenge them to strive for excellence as they live for the glory of God and for the good of all people. Our homeschool cooperative program seeks to mirror this mission by partnering with homeschooling families who desire a Christian environment for academics and enrichment opportunities with a classical approach.

The homeschool program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:15 - 3:30. Students participate in any specials offered on their school days, including but not limited to music and art.

This program opens all extra-curricular programs and special events at Augustine Classical Academy to homeschool students enrolled in our program, including but not limited to:

  • Rocky Mountain Classical Christian Schools’ In-house and Regional Speech Meet

  • Field trips

  • Standardized Testing

  • Recitation (at the end of each academic semester)

All after-school clubs, including Theater Club and Running Club, are also open to homeschool students with the payment of relevant club fees.

All families enrolled in the ACA Homeschool Collaborative Program will receive the weekly newsletter, all school-wide communication, and invitations to all school-wide events.

Grade-level teachers will be available to meet with parents once per quarter in addition to the two regularly scheduled parent/teacher conferences in the fall and spring. These quarterly meetings may be up to one hour in length and can cover the curriculum, advice for instruction, and any other parent questions. Occasionally there will be a seminar or training for ACA staff that may be of interest to a home educator. These are made available to enrolled families for a minimal fee where applicable.

Guidelines for homeschool students enrolled in any ACA activity include the following:

  • Full adherence to the Parent Handbook

  • Full adherence to uniform guidelines where applicable

  • Parent attendance at required meetings (back-to-school and parent/teacher conference where applicable)

  • Respect for teachers and students who are present on campus all day in attitude and conduct

Priority registration deadline for the homeschool collaborative program ends April 8, 2023.
